How to Use a Teleprompter on Google Meet

Same Picture-in-Picture trick as Zoom, adjusted for Meet's layout.

📞 Google Meet works the same way as any other browser-based call for teleprompter purposes — the setup is almost identical to Zoom, with one small difference worth knowing.

🖼️ The setup

📝 Write or paste your script → 🖼️ Open Picture-in-Picture → 📞 Join Meet in the same browser

Because Meet runs in a browser tab rather than a separate desktop app, keep your teleprompter's floating window open in the same browser window as Meet, positioned near the top where your camera sits — otherwise your eyes have further to travel between the two.

🙈 If you're presenting a slide deck

When sharing a specific Chrome tab or window (not your whole screen) in Meet, the floating teleprompter window stays outside what's shared automatically — visible to you, invisible to your audience.
